“NX makes me happy. What’s better?”

Ed Chigliak from Northern Exposure - his films make me cry
aov has been host to some interesting discussion of television and some less interesting rants by myself on the topic. I was pointed to a great Northern Exposure website where a fellow fan spoke nicely on my behalf.

The whole site is great. They have 1-megabyte windows help file with everything you could ever possibly want to know about the show. It’s pretty too.

  1. Hm…

That picture looks like Steve in the famous banana yellow Volkswagon with his head out the window, after taking off those glasses.

  2. Because I live in Canada where the original version of NX is still aired daily on a digital station, I bought a digital recorder and now have excellent DVDs of all 110 episodes. I get 5 episodes (without commercials) on a disc so there are 22 discs in the set. For $299 US (including delivery to anywhere in North America), and at an average of less that $2.75 per episode, I can share this set with anyone who doesn’t want to wait any longer, and who suspects that all 110 episodes will never be released commercially in any case. I would be happy to send out one disc for $20 to anyone who would like to have a preview first, (and then have the option of buying the rest of the set for $279).

  3. don’t get arts crappy dvds! they are horrible quality and very pixelated! I have seen them and they’re not worth the media they are copied to!!
art, please don’t rip off anymore NX fans!!!!

  4. hey art dude ,if you re not a crasseur ,n if ur tapes are fine ,where the hell abouts do u live in canadeau ???? i might be interested in ur stuff…

  5. By popular demand, and since they are not forth coming commercially with original music, I am now offering any of the 6 Seasins of Northern Exposure for $45 (plus $10 for mailing), or Seasons 2 to 6 (inclusive) for $199 US$ (with Season 1 thrown in as a freebie if desired). Everyone who has ordered them (except Ted, – who hasn’t seen them) are VERY happy with the quality.

NOTE: Ted’s version of the episodes are not up to scratch since they have been made from old (analog) tapes, instead of being recorded digitally, directly from a digital source.

art (who is not afraid to include his address, unlike sleezy Ted)
