I can tell you why this happened... and why it'll be successful: it's the first OSS program perhaps ever that was designed top down, from a UI/user perspective. And that's how good, successful software begins. It was said of the entire original Macintosh team, there wasn't one guy w/ a typical CS degree, and they pioneered user-friendly. The guys who normally hack code are awesome and indespensible, but people like Steve with a design background are successful because they know how people absorb and use info, and its different from how most programmers do. (don't get me wrong, there are those who can do both, but there are guys who can play two pro sports, too, they're equally few and far between).

So, here's to many more OSS projects started this way! Best of luck all!

Why would anyone want to develop a Gnome Outliner for windows? Gnome isn't for Windows...
