  1. Is there any way to skip past your inane commentary? I mean, I don’t actually give a shit that you were taking a dump on thursday in a cool location.

  2. Mr. “Schmoe”: Acts of Volition Radio is all about inane commentary! Otherwise, you’ll have to find the music on your own.

  3. Yes, Steven, you said ‘twentyone’ somewhere in the first several minutes.

And to second that motion, mister “Schmoe”, I listen to AoV Radio just for the inane commantary.

  4. Steven – Downloading the mp3 now, 3.5kb/sec down speed is a bit harsh though. What sort of hosting are you on? 6 1/2hrs left. 🙂

  5. Seconding Justin’s inquiry here, speed drops down to 1 (or zero) kb/sec at times, the upper limit has been 6 kb/sec so far. I started downloading about 5 hours ago and am still waiting for the last 20% to get through.

    *flabbergasted at pointless rudeness above*

  6. I’m not sure what’s up with the download speed. I’ll try and figure out what’s going on. For now, be patient and you will be rewarded with a collection of ass-rocking music.

  7. Perhaps Dijjer could help with the bandwidth issues – http://dijjer.com/

Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with Dijjer, nor have I tried it yet.

*equally flabbergasted at pointless rudeness above*

  8. I am not especially down with Billy Talent, mostly because they won all the Juno awards while obvious geniuses like the Arcade Fire and the Dears were largely ignored.

And while I have to confess to not liking most of the songs in this session, I am pleased to see you embracing the debauched hard rock lifestyle.

  9. I just came to the 3-track Extreme horroshow that finishes the session, the aural equivalent of lighting oneself on fire, leading me to wonder if you have plunged into a state of advanced mental defectiveness.

  10. Yay, Hard Core Logo! I was wondering if Billy Talent had anything to do with the movie, so thanks for that tangent. I used to be a bit of a fangirl for Callum Keith Rennie and I still think Due South was a totally underrated show. But that just as an aside. *ahem*

I really liked River Below and The Red and am still amused by the random Mozart guitar wankery. Oh man.

  11. Another great session, Steve; although I have to point out that your reference to Extreme’s 1990 release being pre-Nirvana is incorrect. “Bleach” was released in ’89.

Johnny: I was glad to see Talent get that recognition, even if it was a little much. You’re right though. I am a big Dears fan and am just getting into The Arcade Fire; would’ve been nice to see some respect thrown their way.

  12. Greate session Steven. When I heard the first song that you played, I was pretty sure that I had heard The Living End somewhere before, so I did some hunting through my CD collection to see what I could find. I ran across the soundtrack for the movie “Idle Hands” and The Living End had the very first song on the album called “Second Solution” which is a great tune.

  13. Hum.. usually I like the music on these – Chevelle? Payable on Death, Extreme? Think I’ll wait for 21. 😀

  14. Joeshmoe, rude. I don’t care about what YOU have to say. YOUR commmentary is inane. Maybe you could use a good shit in a cool location, seems you’re a bit bound up and cranky. Disimpaction, perhaps? Spread a little love, hows about. xoxo
