  1. Steven, thanks for putting these lists together… I’ve heard alot of great music I wouldn’t have known about without this site.

Just so you know, the company I work at has a product called websense installed on our network. It appears (at least from here) that your site is now blacklisted by http://websense.com/… I was able to download the playlist using an externally hosted linux server with wget.

Anyway, keep up the good work.

  2. I really liked the session. Regarding Idlewild, “American English” is, to my mind, their masterpiece to date. Regarding mandolins, there is a lovely mandolin orhcestra at the end of the Smiths “Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want” if you can handle the angst-ridden, self-pitying moroseness of the whole thing. I am partial to it because my grandmother used to play in a mandolin orchestra. Keep on rockin’.

  3. Thanks for this new session; I especially liked songs five and six (haven’t heard the seventh yet).

Just a minor note: in your tracklist you wrote “Sweater than You,” instead of “Sweeter than You.”

  4. Thomas: Thanks – I’ve fixed the typo now. At least I didn’t say “Sweater than you”.

  5. Wow. I’m absolutely stuck at “Mighty Little Man” by Steve Burns. Admittedly, I’m not sure if I’m stuck there because I think its a great tune, or if it is because I can’t stop thinking about Blues Clues, or some of both.

Great stuff all around, Steve. Thanks for sharing!

  6. Short time reader, first time listener 🙂

The Joe Strummer song captured me, as did Idlewild, Tim Chaisson and Aaron Sprinkle. I’m going to have to hunt those songs down.

Idlewild gave the old speakers a good work out 🙂

  7. First off, great session. I am bewildered listening to Steve Burns rocking out, with great music to boot. Ok: Timoth Chaisson….Am I blind, or can I not find somewhere to BUY THE CD “Something Acoustic”? Can you steer me in the proper direction??

  8. I really really love this session. You’ve pointed us in the direction of several excellent artists, which is really the whole contire point of the thing, I’d suppose.

  9. Jason: I’m not sure where you can buy Timothy Chaisson’s CD. He’s a local artist and I don’t think there is any label/distribution for it.

He’s going to be at my wedding next week, so I’ll ask him (if I remember) 🙂

  10. I am looking for some Timothy Chaisson lyrics.I love his music and would love the lyrics if anyone has them!
