Yet another gig at the fine establishment known only as 'Mikes!'. Only tonight, they had the honor of opening for the Classic Rocker's... LAUD! The set was to start at 9:30pm and they arrived at my place at 9:22pm. So after a spirited ride they unloaded and set up in record time! They used LAUD's sound system, which was actually was a fine sounding system... Could be the best I've heard the band play!...

Being a friday night... the locals were their early to get in on the drink specials. So by the time the set started they were already "in the zone". The crowd was quite well behaved except for 2 spirited youth's in the front row. The two were enjoying some drinks and also playing some sweet air guitar... also one of them proceeded to dance to the last few songs of the set. From now on Horton's Choice would like to recommend "no dancing!!" They thank you in advance!! [Ed. Note: we want you to have fun, but this was just embarrassing]

Again the sound was excellent, especially during "Cave" and "My Generation" [Ed. Note: what ffoeg likely means here is 'My Revolution' our hit single from spacepop. He is an ardent fan of The Who and often gets us confused.]. Once the set was over, the band was approached by the lead singer of LAUD and were told to keep going because their drummer hadn't arrived. Much to the delight of the two youth's in the front row... Horton's Choice played 3 more tunes, including "An open letter to God" and "Ruby Soho". They were then greeted to quite a friendly ovation before LAUD and the tardy drummer, took the stage, we stayed for two songs, and split...CLASSIC ROCKIN...yikes!!

So yet another night at the fine "upper class" bar we like to call "Mikes"(We like to call it Mikes, because that is actually what it is called) Sorry folks...but we saw NO large insects on this night, but my fingers are crossed for the next show!!
