Acts of Volition

Steven Garrity -

This kind of stuff makes me wonder: I know, let's get mugs!.

Rob, don't you have story about your Chix Dig Unix shirt you should tell?

Vince -

I got mugs! No Joke!

But $25 for a apple pin? I don't know dude.

=v=

Rob -

Why, I think I might, Steve!

I seem to have a horrible curse for being misinterpreted when I speak. Leading me to be a quiet person unless I know the people I'm talking with don't assume I'm some kind of pervert.

This being said, I thought I would wear my 'Chicks Dig Unix' shirt to high school. Now. I was approached by a fellow anonymous schoolmate, she stopped, looked at my shirt puzzled, thought about it for a minute, then looked back at me with a disgusted look on her face and said something to the extent of, "Your shirt is disgusting, and spelled wrong" and walked off.

I looked at my shirt puzzled, and then realized she must have thought it ment "Chicks Dig Eunuchs".

Curse this curse! I once asked somebody, "What's up?", and they said, "You're sick, Rob".

Now that I think about it, most people to whom I mention this website will say, "Gross", then I say, "Volition, not Violation" and they say, "Ahh", but still seem to suspect a porn connection (possibly because they don't know what it means?).

This even happens in ICQ which puzzles me because I always type volition carefully. We totally should have named this site Dogs and Cats.

I almost never use the expression "Did you have a hard time" anymore. I actually got smacked once for saying that.

Rob, I can sense your affinity for pr0n in that post itself... You have a problem. Face up and deal with it.

Sick freak...

Why don't you tell everyone about your Irish Sandwich... FREAK!!!!

This is not a joke... Not at all....

Rob -

I respectfully choose not to mention the Irish Sandwich as I think there are readers younger than 19.

In related news, when I was in Montréal last weekend, I enjoyed a carton of Québon Chicken-Milk to your health.

(if I could find Jevon's comment on inside jokes in AOV replies, I'd link to it.)

smartin -

I suggest the 'got root' shirt and/or mug, much more clever...

The one thing I will definately be getting at thinkgeek.com is a pack of thumbscrews for the next comp I buy.

Rob -

Correct me if I'm wrong, Burkas, but isn't "Root" is a slang term for a female specific body part in the lands down under? I seem to recall an amusing conversation about Canadians wearing 'Roots' sweatshirts down there.

I'm not falling for that one.

Jevon MacDonald -

Québon: C'est bon!

"Boivre la poulet!"

Isaac -

Root was actually an Aussie slang term - Roots sweaters didn't quite have the same ring in NZ.
