I don’t know if this was better 2 years ago but I hate the Macbook charger because the wall wart is so heavy and the prongs are so flimsy that it doesn’t stay firmly plugged into a wall socket. The slightest wiggle or bump dislodges the whole thing. It’s not like this is even a safety feature because the laptop stays connected to the cord, so it could still be dragged off a table if someone tripped over the cable. It is the worst of all worlds. It makes me wish for an ugly black 3-prong PC-style charger.
