  1. Have you been nicking stuff from my record collection again?!! Its made my day seeing Matthew Sweet in there. 100% fun is another of my favourite albums of all time, and ‘Sick of Myself’ always reminds me of summer.

As always, looking forward to hearing the new stuff…

  2. Excellent poor old lu choice. ‘Pictures of the Eight Wonder’ is probably my favourite poor old lu album but the ‘Straight Six’ EP was fantastic. They’re masters at making songs build.

  3. Hey steven,

i read your blog alot and find it very interesting. Thanks for putting together a great mix this time! Good choice + taste.

  4. You’ve reminded me of a story about the Catherine Wheel. I read in a guitar magazine once that they got that incredibly thick guitar sound on Happy Days by bolting their amps to the floor. That’s pure rock and roll genius.

  5. This mix absolutely rocks. Thanks a lot. I look forward to the next!

Perfect for listening to while at work. The heavy, driving guitar drown out any distracting attempts of co-workers to talk to me.

  6. Steven,
I stumbled upon your site yesterday while doing a search for “Mike Knott, radio.” What a find! Since yesterday, I’ve listened to Episodes 10-6 and am now starting on 5. I sure hope that this is rewarding for you, you’re doing a great job and have great taste in music. I’m going to be surprised if I don’t find The Choir on one of these episodes! One of my favourites, Sixteen Horsepower, I’m not sure if you have on you show as from what I’ve heard so far you haven’t touched on more earthy, rootsy stuff. Anyhow, you’ve kept me from browsing iTunes for a couple of days in a row and I’ve already told a few friends and posted a link on The Choir message board.
